Strings and Horns in Cleveland!!

Last post, we shared about our recording sessions in Philadelphia and Austin with dear friends of ours. Last week, we embarked on our most ambitious session of all: the Cleveland Recording Bonanza.

Daniel and I (Megan) convened at Cleveland Scoring at the Heights Theater with 3 of Daniel's brothers (two violinists and a cellist/mandolinist/recording engineer), as well as violist Tim Crouch, a dear friend from conservatory days long past. We were coming from Boston, Seattle, Michigan, and Florida.

The days were fun, challenging, long, and highly caffeinated, and at the end of it we had pure gold in our hands. Not only did we record some amazing string quartet, mandolin, and bass parts (played by our sister-in-law, Amanda), but we also were able to record horn parts with a member of the Cleveland Orchestra. Yes, you read that correctly.

Thank you SO much again for your support. It means the world to us that you would believe in our project, and it's a joy to share all of our progress with you.

Love,

Megan & Daniel, a.k.a. davy
